. There are two sample itineraries below but please bear in mind that nothing is cast in stone
and the tours are fully customizable.

Sample itinerary #1, Christ the Redeemer Statue:

You will be picked up at your accommodation in Centro, Copacabana, Leme, Ipanema, Leblon and other locations in Rio de Janeiro’s south zone. Please inquire about other locations. Start early in the morning and take the cog train up Corcovado Mountain (see prices here). The trip through the Tijuca Forest lasts about 20 minutes. Once we reach the top you’ll have about 40 minutes to behold Christ the Redeemer statue as well as Rio’s south and north zones from 710 meters above sea level. Additional time can be added if requested. The Art Deco statue was completed in 1931. It’s made of reinforced concrete and soapstone.  The statue itself is 30 meters tall plus 8 meters for the base and it was voted one of the new seven wonders of the world.

Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas (Lagoon), Botanical Garden (more manicured) and/or Lage Park (more like a forest and sometimes capuchin monkeys can be found).

Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana.

You will be dropped off at your accommodation at the end of the tour.

Sample itinerary #2, Sugar Loaf Mountain:

You will be picked up at your accommodation in Centro, Copacabana, Leme, Ipanema, Leblon and other locations in Rio de Janeiro’s south zone. Please inquire about other locations. We will start the day with one of Rio’s two main attractions.

Take an aerial cable-car on a 2 stage ride to reach the top of Urca Hill and Sugar Loaf Mountain (see prices here) and enjoy breathtaking views of Guanabara Bay, Copacabana Beach and more. There are souvenir shops, bars and restaurants at the top. The average time time spent at the top of Urca Hill is 20 minutes and 30 minutes at Sugar Loaf.  Additional time can be added if requested. If afterwards you feel like taking a stroll at the bottom there will be more photo opportunities at Vermelha Beach and the path at the foot of the Sugar Loaf Mountain. This is a good opportunity to see a beautiful spot where the city, beach, forest and mountain meet as well as a chance to look for the small marmoset monkeys.

Flamengo Reclaim Park. There are many historic buildings in Centro (Downtown), such as the Municipal Theater (outside), the Museum of Fine Arts (outside), the Municipal Council (outside), the National Library (outside), the State Legislative (outside), Confeitaria Colombo (inside), the Metropolitan Cathedral (inside), Selaron Stairway (215 steps covered in a mosaic of colorful tiles from dozens of countries and the work of Chilean painter Jorge SelarĂ³n), the Arches of Lapa and Lapa neighborhood, the Church of Saint Francis the Penitent (inside) and or the Church of Our Lay of Monserrat (inside). Both churches have interiors that are ornately covered in gold leaf gilding and are examples of the baroque style. Obs.: Some have to be done on foot.

You will be dropped off at your accommodation at the end of the tour.
